Our Senior Cameraman Chris Tangey is a member of the Australian Cinematographers Society is an accredited AACTA Cinematographer and is represented by RMK Crew. He has shot under the direction of Werner Herzog, Kriv Stenders and Academy award winning DoP Russell Boyd ASC ACS.
World Expo 2025 Japan are expecting 28 million visitors, and thanks to Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, eight of Chris's short films will play daily for 6 months on the 12 metre screen in the Australia Pavilion, until October 13 in Osaka. In 2024 Chris spent 4 months traveling every state of Australia filming the first thing that one million visitors will see every year in the new foyer of the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, a 6K cinematic film. Chris was Aerial Cinematographer on the 2 part Season 24 finale of "The Batchelor" (USA) for Warner Bros and Australian DP for Pioneer Television's "Undercover Mother" series for ABC U.S. , also for ZDF Germany's "Taboo" series. He has filmed for BBC Natural History Unit, BBC Science, National Geographic and Discovery Channel productions. His credits include Cinematographer and 2nd Unit Photographer on the Universal Pictures feature film "Lee Kernaghan-Boy from the bush", DP on both a Tourism Australia TVC and corporate video and a promo for the Paramount + comedy series, "Betoota Advocate". Chris also shoots for AV projects, including for the Royal Flying Doctor Service's new visitor centres in Dubbo and Broken Hill, plus, for an art gallery in the Northern Territory, a 12K resolution project with a curved 14 metre long screen. He's won more than 60 Australian and International Awards including outright "Best Cinematography" in Tokyo, Seattle, Vienna and Buenos Aires plus 10 gold and 5 silver awards from the prestigious Australian Cinematographer's Society, and ACS NT Judges Award 2024. He is represented by RMK Crew.
