Alice Springs Film and Television (ASFTV) are the Australian outback specialists in film, TV  production and 4K stock footage, specializing in drone.  We also Location Fix and manage. Owned and operated by Chris Tangey, Aerial Cinematographer, Cinematographer, Photographer and Location Manager. His business ethos is simple: "If your project makes the world a better place, or is benign, let's have a chat, if it makes the world a worse place... best to chat with someone else". Chris has won 10 gold and 5 silver plaques from the Australian Cinematographers Society (ACS) and has 32 international awards for drone cinematography including wins in LA and from 3 different New York City festivals. He is an Expert Instructor for Stage32 Los Angeles and licenses much of his Australian stock footage globally.







Based in the small town of Alice Springs, the defacto capital of the Australian outback, his nearest city in any direction is 1500 kms distant. Chris's work is representing his country in the Australia pavilion of World Expo Osaka 2025 until October 13. He recently shared Cinematographer credits on the Universal Pictures feature film "Boy from the bush" under Director Kriv Stenders. Aerial shoots include BBC's "Nomad-in the footsteps of Bruce Chatwin" under Director and film legend Werner Herzog. He filmed all of the Australian aerials for the Nathaniel Rateliff music video "Time Stands", shot on all 6 continents, the 2 part finale of season 24 of "The Bachelor" (USA) for Warner Brothers, a global TV commercial for Tourism Australia "Hemsworth", material for BBC's "Wonders of the Monsoon","Seven Worlds-One Planet", "Mammals" and "Hidden Planet". He  has major work in the foyer of the Australian War Memorial Canberra, in the National Museum of Australia's permanent exhibition "Great Southern Land", in the National Science Museum Ottawa and the La Nube Children's Museum in El Paso. In Italy's Siena Awards, the world's leading visual arts awards, Chris has received a total of 9 Jury commendations since 2019.  He is currently a dual finalist in the 55th ACS National Awards for Cinematography 2025, Melbourne.
